Character is defined as “the inherent complex of attributes that determines a persons moral and ethical actions and reactions.”

What does that mean? How does character education help at-risk youth, teens and adults?

By studying ethics and character, people learn about themselves and what reactions they would have in certain situations. Character education often introduces people to sensitive situations and tests their resolve in a safe and nonthreatening environment. Character education teaches people about the importance of respect, responsibility, trust, fairness and kindness.
